Thanks for stopping by. If you are here, you might be thinking about selling a business, looking for a partner on a property, or checking that we are who we say we are. All good reasons.

Hess Holdings is the company I use to own and manage my investments. Some of that is equity in small businesses I help run. Some of it is a long-term portfolio of public stocks. Some of it is commercial real estate.

The approach is simple. Keep costs low. Spread risk sensibly. Buy quality, then be patient with it. Stay inside what we understand, and avoid the big mistakes that are hard to undo.

We are not in a hurry, and we are not trying to flip anything. When we commit, we plan to stay. That tends to make us a steady partner for owners, lenders, and co-investors who care about the long run.
